With a vibrant line-up featuring piano, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass, drums, congas, bongos, and three powerful vocalists, Comgoyá honors its Cuban heritage while adding its own distinctive voice. The repertoire ranges from son, mambo, salsa, and cha-cha-cha to boleros, merengue, Latin jazz, and original compositions – always delivered with infectious passion and precision.

The BEST musicians

Comgoyá consists of ten of Norway's leading Latin musicians, representing a diverse range of backgrounds including Cuba, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Norway.

Felix Navarro Navarro – Percussionist

Cuban master percussionist and former musical director of Ballet Folklórico de Cutumba, bringing decades of Afro‑Cuban tradition to the stage.  

Antonio Torner – Timbales

Internationally active drummer trained at the Norwegian Academy of Music and Berklee, combining performance excellence with strong educational engagement.  

Brage Rognlien – Trombone
Trombonist, composer, and conductor with a master's degree from Leeds, active across jazz, theatre, and contemporary ensembles.

Jason Ernesto Thrane Storsve – Bass
Bassist and bandleader blending Latin American music, jazz, and soul, educated in rhythmic and world music at the University of Agder.

Jomar Cabrera Reyes – Vocals
Cuban vocalist educated in Havana, bringing authentic Cuban tradition and strong stage presence to Comgoyá.

Katerine Espinal – Piano
Nicaraguan pianist combining classical training with Latin American genres, active as both performer and music therapist.

Kim Laurits Koffeld – Trumpet
Norwegian trumpeter with international festival experience and deep roots in both jazz and Cuban music traditions.

Norge Flores Falcon – Vocals
Cuban singer and songwriter merging hip‑hop, salsa, and contemporary Latin urban expression.

Rayner Tarin Camps – Vocals
Cuban vocalist and composer known as El Cantor de lo Pequeño, active in Norway's leading salsa ensembles.

Valerio Bottari – Guitar / Strings
Italian multi‑instrumentalist and producer with over two decades of international Latin music experience.
