WHO ARE WE?

Comgoyá is a band exploring the interplay between afrocuban sound, atmosphere, and identity. Our music moves through a landscape where expression and presence are central, and where each project expands our musical universe

Comgoyá – led by Felix Navarro – is a ten-piece orchestra bringing authentic Cuban music to stages across Norway. With roots in Santiago de Cuba and an ensemble comprising musicians from Cuba, Latin America, and Norway, the band creates concerts that blend high artistic quality with vibrant, danceable energy.

OUR VISION AND PURPOSE

Our purpose is to create music that feels genuine, present, and meaningful. Comgoyá aims to build connections through sound and convey moods that resonate beyond the moment.

HOW WE WORK

We work exploratively and collectively, allowing space for both structure and improvisation. Songwriting, rehearsal, and production are shared processes where the whole matters more than individual parts.
